Objectives
"Les Moments Musicaux" were created in Paris in 1990 by Thérèse DIETTE for the purpose of permitting the expansion of the
talent of young artists of all nationalities whether in chamber music or piano.
"Les Moments Musicaux" are simply a program and not an association with a geographic base.
They therefore belong to and are elaborated in an official or private framework which gives them a reason for existing, and shapes them thanks to a concert hall, a piano and an audience to welcome them, whether in France or abroad.
The principal activity of "Les Moments Musicaux" is devoted to the preparation of national and international competitions. This preparation takes concrete shape through concerts accompanied by
musicological commentaries.
Included also, depending on the framework, are lectures on the history of pianistic techniques, the making of various instruments, the relationships with the history of art and literature,
pedagogical sessions, courses in piano, analysis, sight-reading, accompaniment and chamber music.
